I thought I'd take a little break from all the travel posts to talk about a fun activity I did with the family this past weekend. We went peach picking! I am yearning for it to be fall. I love all the activities, cozy sweaters, and cool air. Not to mention this heat is really getting to me. It's September, it should not be 90 degrees anymore! Especially up here in the northeast. Picking peaches was the perfect activity to satisfy my itch for fall. It luckily also cooled off a bit which was much needed.
I wore this cute sweatshirt from J.Crew which comes in this vibrant orange/red color, white and a soft pink. Normally choosing the light pink would be a no-brainer for me, but I loved how this color really stands out. You can take the girl out of Clemson but you can't take Clemson out of the girl! The sweatshirt is light enough to wear when it's still a bit warm out because of the adorable eyelet design on the back. I paired it with my favorite jean skirt, hat and hunter boots. I always wear my rainboots when doing an activity like this or picking pumpkins because they are perfect to walk through the mud in and you don't have to worry about them getting dirty! It had rained the morning we went to do this so rain boots were a MUST.
We planned to get some peaches to make peach ice cream for my grandfather because it is his favorite. When we got there the peaches were huge and tasted so good that we ended up getting way more than we needed. We had so many that when we got home we decided to make ice cream and peach cobbler! Here is the recipe for the ice cream and here is the recipe we used to make the cobbler. If you are in the mood for fall like me, go peach picking! It will definitely satisfy the itch!
