Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful end of 2017 and have started your new year off right! I apologize for being MIA the past month, but I felt that I needed to spend this time with my family over the holidays and I also had a lot of work to do in order to prepare for my future. With that said I wanted to share some of the fun activities we did and how I stayed warm!
Although I have lived in New Jersey my whole life it was a bit of shock to come home to such cold weather after being in South Carolina for several months. It has been COLD. It has snowed twice and the temperatures haven't risen above 25 degrees in about 2 weeks. It took a few days to adjust but I was very happy to be able to cuddle up with some hot coco next to the fire.
After adjusting to the cold I was finally gained the courage to brave the cold. It was the first real snowfall I had seen all winter and I was so excited, like a little kid on Christmas. We are lucky enough to have woods in our backyard with a pond that had completely frozen over. My whole family grabbed our gear and headed out to do some ice skating. I was also so happy that Jeremy was visiting and could experience this with us becuase we had so much fun!
I wore this red hat and scarf combo that I got from J.Crew and absolutely love it. The color is my favorite during that holiday season and it is so warm! I, of course, had to pair it with a bold red lip because a red lip is always appropriate in December. The hat comes in several other colors and the scarf is currently on sale so go check them out! What fun things did you do over your holiday???
